Leicester Tigers are preparing to head into a vital Heineken Cup match against Montpellier this weekend. Their Friday night league win against Gloucester has given them some momentum before Sunday night’s clash with the French side.

The Tigers are currently lying in second place in their group behind Ulster and need a win to boost their chances of qualification to the quarter finals. Having already lost to the Irish side, the Tigers cannot afford any more slip-ups.

The Leicester team are two-time winners of the Cup, and reached the final in 2007, 2009 and 2011. Neil was an integral part of the team during their back-to-back wins in 2001 and 2002 which were grand achievements in his decorated career.

Neil said: “The Heineken Cup has always been a great tournament for the Tigers and it is very important to the club. This match could prove to be a turning point in the season but Montpellier will provide a stern test of the squad. I would like to wish the team the very best of luck and let’s hope for a great result!”

Leicester Tigers vs Montpellier will take place on Sunday 8th December 2013 at Welford Road. Watch all the action live on Sky Sports 2 at 2:45pm.
