Neil attended The Goodwood Revival, a unique event that revels in the glamour and allure of motor racing in the nostalgic time of the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
Arriving in style by private jet, Neil and his wife spent the day enjoying the racing alongside celebrities like Sir Chris Hoy, Chris Evans and Rowan Atkinson.
VIP drivers are a hugely popular aspect of the Goodwood Revival, with a list of past participants that reads like a Who’s Who of motor racing greats. Formula 1 World Champions, Indianapolis and Le Mans winners, and Isle of Man and MotoGP stars all took to the famous track in a glittering array of two- and four-wheeled machinery.
The classic racetrack has been well preserved, untouched by the modern world and the day was a celebration of flat-out wheel-to-wheel racing. On a wet weekend however, drivers needed to be extremely skilful to finish in a good position.
Neil thoroughly enjoyed the races and is already looking forward to next year’s event.
